I never saw myself as the type of person that would love wedding planning. It kind of terrifies me. But I want to make it as enjoyable as I can.
There are things that I have known I wanted since forever. Like to be married at the church I grew up at. All white decor but incorporate hot pink in as much as I can without going overboard. And having a laid back, fun party with all my favorite people.
One thing I’ve never ever thought about until now? A reception venue. Is it bad that I really don’t care? I’ve been researching and researching and each one I find I’m like “great this works.” I just could not care less. I’d have it in my parent’s backyard if it was bigger. Money is going to have to make this decision for us. I just can’t wait to get this one over with so that we can focus on the fun things.
My priorities are in the order: Friends/Family, Photographer, DJ, bar. Everything else we will figure out as we go along.
Now the hard part is getting on the same page as the groom… :)
Anyone have any good advice or lessons learned to pass along in this overwhelming stage?
