I did my initial review of Glossybox last month in this post, and I really liked it but I wasn’t blown away. However, I decided to get one more month’s subscription because it was being curated by blogger, the Man Repeller. She’s got some crazy style so I thought her beauty box would be a fun one.
I’m soooo glad I gave it one more month because this is the BEST beauty subscription box I’ve ever received. I am obsessed with more than half of the items! And love that there are 2 full size makeup products.
Here’s what was in my box:
1. OPI “can’t let go” liquid sand nail polish
2. Fresh Umbrian clay matifying serum – tones and hydrates skin while controlling shine and minimizing pores
3. Sebastian professional potion 9 – large sample of hair styling cream
4. Narciso Rodriguez perfume
5. Le Metier de beauté replenishing daily solution – lotion
6. Estee Lauder sumtuous extreme lash multiplying volume mascara
7. tarte glamazon pure performance 12 hour lipstick – full size dramatic red lipstick, love this!
There are so many brands here that I love, that I was excited about this box before I even started using the products. So far Glossybox is 2 for 2 on surprising me with very high quality contents in the boxes. Since I’ve bought 2 boxes and reviewed all the products in them, my glossy points have allowed me to get next month’s box free!

All the products look amazing! Mine’s taking a little bit long to get to me (I had it mail forwarded) so I’m so looking forward to getting (and reviewing) them!
I look forward to seeing how your box compared to mine!
I look forward to receiving it
By the way, what are your thoughts on the February (International) box? Will you be getting it?
One of these days I really need to sign up for one of these. I mean a faboosh OPI color and a smokin’ red lip? Yes!
haha yes it’s fun! and you can cancel anytime! I def don’t plan on getting this one every month.
Wow for real. I really want to try one of these boxes. I enjoy reading other bloggers who are into fashion and makeup. I would buy it just for the OPI nailpolish.
yeah the only downside is that you can’t guarantee nailpolish every month. so far i’m 2 for 2! but i’m starting to lean towards Glossybox more than Birchbox because they do a better job at including both makeup AND body products. i got sick of all the lotions and shampoos that Birchbox keeps adding. i prefer trying the fun makeup product samples!
I am so jealous. I’ve been lusting after that lipstick for months now but haven’t bitten the bullet and purchased it. I guess one more subscription wouldn’t hurt…
haha no one more subscription can’t hurt… but I definitely won’t be getting this one all year like I did with Birchbox. It’s a little too expensive. They usually have coupon codes you can google around to find for new subscribers to get your first one half off. Or you can sign up for an account (use my referral
) and then wait until they send you a coupon code to get you to subscribe! I’m all about waiting for a good deal.
I think the items in this box look much better than the Birchbox but I don’t think I would want to pay $20 a month. I feel like $10 is perfect. I haven’t fell in love with an entire birchbox just yet though so I’m giving it one more month!
I also don’t think that $20/month all year is worth it for unknown items ($10 i can justify!), but as I told someone in a previous comment they always have discount codes for new subscribers, if you just create an account, you’ll eventually get a coupon code from them (or just google it!). and then the point system is like Birchboxes except the points go towards boxes, so that’s how i justified another one!
