My 12th (and final) Birchbox is here. And yes, I’ve officially cancelled my membership. I’ve decided that after a full year I definitely need a break to catch up on using all my samples. Who knows, I might be back, or I might try out Glossybox first.
The theme for the June Birchbox is travel.
It contains items that are good for depuffing eyes and quick makeup application.
I never get tired of trying tinted moisturizers. They really are great to have on hand, especially for non-makeup wearing days of summer where SPF is still needed.
The band-aids are the most random item. And there’s a bonus Birchbox Man sample.
My favorite item from this box is the cheek/lip stain! I’ve always wanted to try these. Some of my friends use the Tarte brand stains and I’ve always been curious if they are easy or if I would look like a clown. So now is my chance to try it out.

In addition to the Jouer moisturizing tint and the Stainiac, I also got an SPF face cream (COOLA, cucumber matt mineral face cream), Spanish self-tanning wipes (Comodynes), and a fragrance (Juicy Couture). My extra was a Modcloth headband. I think all of these I will use but the self-tanning wipes; however, a Belgian postdoc in lab is obsessed with self-tanning products so I think I’ll pass those along to her.
haha funny enought i didn’t get the wipes but i put them in my shopping cart this weekend and might just buy them with with my points to try them out! i don’t have much time in the sun, but like to get some nonUV glow whenever I can
Understood! I just run so much that I get *enough* UV haha.
I can totally see how after a while you would need to cancel a subscription – there’s no way I would use everything up within a month either! Hmm, maybe they should get stingier on their boxes otherwise they’ll end up putting themselves out of business lol

I got the stain and those bath salts, along with an eye shadow stick, a mini luna and I want to say there was something else but I can’t remember now. Haha.
ooh eye shadow stick sounds really fun! i definitely prefer the makeup items to the lotion/facewash/shampoo items.

I love the theme is travel, especially since summer is a busy busy time for travel for most people!
it’s such a fun treat, even if you only do it for a month or two. i can’t believe i lasted a year! it’s time for a little break!

it’s a really fun surprise to treat yourself every month! when i started i thought i’d only do a month, but i loved it so much that it took a year for me to finally decide to take a break!
